My Research interest and experience

My research interests include identification of multi drug resistant (Gram negative) bacteria from clinical and environmental samples, survey of antibiotic resistance in community and health care facilities, survey of different types of beta spectrum beta-lactamase, metallo beta-lactamase, and carbapenemase producing microbes in human and animals specimen, antibiotic resistance in paediatrics, antibiotic resistance in bacteria isolated from oral and urogenital samples, how resistance spreads through bacterial populations in man, animal and the environment, and ultimately, engagement in public campaign/awareness  on the need for strict adherence to infection control practices, environmental sanitation, prudence use of antibiotics in human and animals, and prevention of infectious diseases such as Ebola and Lassa fever. Further, my interest also include area such as bio-remediation of environmental wastes, bio-conservation, bio-remediation of heavy metal polluted water and wastes, bio-conversion and bio-degradation of plant and animal wastes, bio-production of important industrial products such as keratinase, protein rich hydrolysates, and amino acids.
